Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop

Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop presents a series of concerts featuring GMW faculty and participants! These concerts will feature new arrangements created and performed by GMW participants and faculty artists, blending together musics from Mexico, Mali, the United States, China, Armenia, and more.

Nearly 80 musicians from 25 different countries will take the stage in this one-of-a-kind event. See the full event details below:

Eight master musicians come together for one special night at NEC’s Jordan Hall

The GMW Performance Festival kicks off with the Global Musician Showcase — a special one-night-only performance bringing together master artists from around the globe. All eight artists come from different musical traditions and backgrounds, each bringing a unique artistic perspective to create something new.

A global music celebration where musicians connect across cultures

Participants from Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop will showcase their work over the course of three concerts, bringing together artists from all over the globe. Merging diverse instruments from oud to oboe, guzheng to electric guitar, each night will feature unique arrangements developed over the course of the Global Musician Workshop.
